Gambella is a regional state in western Ethiopia. It is situated between the Baro and Akobo Rivers. Gambella is the home of the Anyuak people, an ethnic group that lives both in the Ethiopian Gambella region as well as in South Sudan. There are only 200,000 – 300,000 Anyuak people worldwide.
